haha. Those are pretty worn out. I've had one of my pairs for about two years now and they look nearly brand new— despite the fact that I wear them nearly every day (not during the summer). Nor have I written on them or changed the laces. ''/ They're not desperately personalized.

Yeah, I have three pair. I've had my gray high-tops the longest, then I got my gray argyle-patterned low-tops, and I've had maroon extra-high-tops for about six months now. (Do you have a pair of these? I rarely wear them; it takes about ten minutes just to put one of 'em on. xD)
